The Process Perfected
Since most walls inside residential homes are mostly drywall or wood we will discuss these two surface areas. Once we are ready we begin preparing the room for the job, we lay down drop clothes so we do not destroy any floors and we protect everything that needs to be. We then begin to dust and clean the surface area, so as to make sure that each coat goes on even and there are no future problems caused by laziness. Once everything is prepared we begin with a coat of primer. This will be the base and is one of the most important steps. Once everything is primed we begin putting the first coat of paint on, at this point the type of paint we use will depend on the material we are painting. Once we have 2-4 coats of paint on, depending on the manufacturer, it is time to begin the finish. The three basic types of finishing paints for interior are:
-Flat: best used for walls and ceilings, comes in different forms, seals paint jobs well
-Eggshell: a paint that can handle a lot of weather and usage, very common and easy to keep orderly
-Gloss: this paint is the most durable of the three, best for rough and thick surfaces, pristine protection when done correctly
Everything is now ready and we make sure that we are leaving you a room that looks ten times better than before we came.
